A new web presence for the prestigious Welsh National Opera has been launched by Sequence. The website - www.wno.org.uk has a striking new look and a range of personalised interactive features.

Having worked together for nearly eight years on a variety of digital projects, Sequence was delighted to take on this latest challenge to completely rebuild and inject a fresh new look into the website.

Richard Baker, Managing Director of Sequence said: "We are delighted to continue our relationship with Welsh National Opera. They are an international brand with a first-class reputation so we wanted to create a web presence that would showcase their artistic excellence to the world."

The final solution provides a truly personalised experience for the user. The Homepage features content blocks that can be dragged and dropped around the page; even allowing a user to tailor the number of items that appear within them.

The online area ‘My WNO’ also encourages the user to sign up for alerts tailored to their tastes and provides exclusive access to performance resources. Push technologies include RSS feeds, e-newsletters, and a widget displaying the news and performances on a user’s desktop - even when they’re not online.

Richard concludes, "The aim was to create much more that a website that provides valuable details about future productions, we wanted to create a real community feel to the site enabling users to interact with the company and friends of WNO."
