Marketing Magazine ranks Sequence in UK Top 50
Marketing Magazine has recognised Sequence as the largest digital agency in Wales. This accolade joins the recent recognition from the new media industry ‘bible’, New Media Age (NMA) in September.
Chris Haresign, Sequences’ Business Development Director commented on the result. "As indicated by NMA earlier this month, Sequence is the largest new media agency in Wales, ranked 32 in the Design & Build category, and given our equal technical ability we would have reached a highly respectable 12 in the technical category." He continued, "Statistics aside, the rankings support the fact that we’ve become a major player in the sector, and have been able to demonstrate a continued growth well above the national average."
The report noted that recruitment was the biggest challenge facing agencies this year, as the availability of experienced, talented individuals appeared limited. Sequence has expanded to a team of 32 and boasts excellent staff retention. Chris responded, "We’ve done our best to make sure Sequence is a great place to work – if you’ve got talent, commitment and drive, in such a fast moving industry as this everyone has the chance to make their mark."
When asked about how Sequence views itself in the market as a whole, Chris explained, "We’ve worked hard at establishing a client base outside Wales, as recent business wins are testament. We're developing a reputation by organisations outside Wales as an agency able to deliver a top quality product at an excellent price point".
"We were keen to demonstrate that you don't need a London address to win 'London' work. Customers quickly pick up on the fact that Sequence offers the speed and quality that they strive for without them having to pay over the odds. Testament to this is the fact that our Cardiff team has just delivered an extensive website, extranet and intranet for London model agency Storm Models and will shortly launch an exciting project for Brent Council".
He concluded, "Ironically, now we’ve developed a happy customer base across the UK, we are evaluating possible approaches to establishing a more localised approach that will help customers in those regions gain direct access to our team and infrastructure. As such I'm not saying that Sequence establishing a base outside Wales is out of the question, just that it's not essential!"
