Sequence takes part in the City of Cardiff 10K

Sequence took part in the City of Cardiff 10K run held on Sunday 5th September. Five members of Sequence staff ran to help raise money for KRUF children's unit. Richard Shearman, Chris Haresign, Chris Bangs, Steve Martin and Catrin Southall all volunteered to take part in the run and all completed the 10K, which finished with a lap of the millennium stadium.

The Kidney Research Unit for Wales Foundation (KRUF) promote excellence in renal research, treatment of renal diseases and help educate Wales, while adhering to the highest standards of non – discriminatory practice. The aim of their charity is to raise money through a wide range of activities so that they can assist directly and indirectly with those who have had or who still have kidney related illnesses in Wales.

KRUF's appeal this year focuses upon the help and support they can provide for the kiddies at the KRUF children's unit who suffer from Kidney and Renal illness where every penny raised really makes difference.

This year the Acorn / HSBC City of Cardiff 10K & 2K Fun Run celebrates its19th Birthday. Over the years the race has grown to become one the most enjoyed and well attended races in the UK. For the last ten year's the race has never been outside the top ten rankings for a 10K and for several year's placed in the Top five.

3,000 people took part in this years 10K and 2K Fun Run, making it the largest run so far. The run attracts first-class International, National Runners, including Ernest Kimeli of Kenya, who won this year with a time of 28:32, not far behind him was Chris Bangs running for Sequence, who came through at an impressive 48:49 and Richard Shearman finishing after just 49:32 minutes.
