Half of London Using Online Directory Created By Sequence

The Seer (www.theseer.info), the free online directory and resource for all of London’s creative individuals, organisations and venues has announced that local authorities Croydon, Newham, and Bexley have now joined the directory.
Launched in 2004 as a pilot scheme, the directory was developed and used by just two boroughs - the London Borough of Brent and the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Since this initial phase, Sequence has worked closely with The Seer bringing the partnership total up to sixteen boroughs which is nearly half of London.
Tim Jukes, site co-ordinator for The Seer said: "We are absolutely delighted by the way the site has developed in the last twelve months. It is testament to the technical ingenuity of the Sequence team. Not only have partnership relationships increased but individual registrations on the site have grown dramatically too."
Between November 2007 and January 2008, the site received a record 281 registrations bringing the total registrations to 3298. 2008 also promises to be a good year for the arts directory as Sequence will continue to work on the Seer’s digital strategy. Further enhancements will be made to the registration process and Web 2.0 functionality such as RSS feeds will also be incorporated into the site.
Richard Shearman, Sequence’s project manager for The Seer said: "It is incredible to think that nearly half of London is now using this directory! The Seer.info is now a key communication resource for the arts scene in London and I am very excited about delivering the next phase of the site and making its reach even wider."
