Microsoft are a pivotal component of computing today and even the most hardened sceptic will admit that Microsoft have been keystone in the growth, uptake and penetration of all things digital. Our own business was formed when we spotted that Microsoft were going to make the web mainstream through the inclusion of Internet Explorer 1.0 as part of the Windows 95 operating system.
Our Gold partnership with Microsoft allows us to keep a finger on the pulse of how Microsoft are continuing their quiet revolution – one nicely illustrated with their ‘three screens and a cloud’ vision, that positions the web (or cloud) at the centre, with people using their mobile, PC and TV to ‘consume’.
We use Microsoft’s .NET framework and SQL Server as our development weapons of choice, and have used them to successfully craft hundreds of websites and web applications that are serving millions of users. We also use Microsoft Dynamics CRM and Microsoft SharePoint to give our Enterprise clients answers to some tricky business questions. More recently clients are looking to SharePoint 2010 WCM to address their CMS (Content Management System) needs and streamline how they share organisational content between their internal and external web presences.
It’s also not just about the back end - Microsoft Silverlight allows us to create rich, immersive interfaces to address testing UX requirements and delivery HD quality video, whilst the new Phone 7 delivers Microsoft’s long awaited move to the Smartphone market.
