We've got the grey hairs so you don't need to worry

In early 1995, Microsoft released their new operating system Windows 95, which included a primitive but ground breaking web-browser; and in doing so, instantly sealed the future of the worldwide web. Richard Baker, Sequence’s Managing Director, immediately spotted an opportunity in which his expertise in data communications and co-founder Phil Murphy’s experience in software development could be combined to exploit the massive potential of this new Microsoft product and in June 1995 Sequence was founded.

In 1996, Sequence became one of the first agencies in the UK to market a cost-effective method of making the Internet truly interactive for website owners and users alike. Despite the dotcom bust of 2001, Sequence has continued to grow year on year, winning impressive contracts and receiving many accolades on the way.

In 1997, Allie Symonds joined as Operations Director bringing with her systems and process know-how, and in 1999 Chris Haresign became the new Business Development Director providing the necessary sales and marketing flair to push the business forward. Consequently, by 2000, Sequence had developed from a small technical web business to a full service digital agency.

Sequence’s key organisational stakeholders were further enhanced in 2004 when Mark Johnson came on board as Creative Director. Mark has put his own individual artistic stamp on the organisation’s design output and this has enabled Sequence to dramatically improve its design quality and enhance its market reputation as a leading, respected web agency.

Having all key organisational positions now filled and driving the company forward, has culminated in a steady organic expansion over the past 7 years. Sequence prides itself in achieving this growth without external investment or shareholders and is looking forward to actively participating in the ever-growing, ever-evolving web market as companies search for more sophisticated and sleeker solutions to their online strategies.
