Tasting success with Wales’ favourite beer

Having been asked by SA Brain & Co Ltd to redevelop their online assets, we developed a solution that matched their history, reputation and ambition. With more than 125 years of history and 270 pubs and hotels, Brains is a household name in Wales. The new site is focused around getting the public to find the perfect venue online, whilst engaging with the brewer’s brand and products. It features:

• An easy to browse database of hundreds of venues across Wales, the West and the Midlands
• A booking engine for rooms and functions
• Pub mini-sites, allowing pubs to publish their own menus, events and photos
• An online shop selling merchandise

The site leverages Web 2.0 features such as RSS feeds for event alerts, whilst the pub mini-sites create an online community around each venue. With products available from the integrated ecommerce platform, the site is now a key sales channel from Brains direct to consumers.
