The Welsh Whisky Company required a secure and simple to use e-commerce site that would enable them to sell their products to a global audience.
Following their launch on St Davids Day 2004, The Welsh Whisky Company quickly realised that they needed an online presence that would enable them to promote their brand and sell their products to a global audience. With years of experience of producing successful e-commerce solutions, we proposed a digital strategy that they could not refuse.
The key to a good e-commerce website is developing a simple interface that allows potential shoppers to easily locate and view different products. This thinking was particularly relevant to The Welsh Whisky Company because as an up-and-coming retailer, it was important that we designed a site which showcased their products to their utmost.
We launched their first web presence in 2005. The application focused very much on the e-commerce functionality, managing the full purchasing cycle from browsing through the shopping basket to the online payment. The site was so successful that in its first year it surpassed their online revenue targets.
Since the initial launch, The Welsh Whisky Company has continued to expand its product range and distribution network. In order to reflect the growth and changes within the company we have continued to develop their online presence, most notably in September 2006 when our creative team dramatically transformed the designs of the site, creating a sleek, new look. In this phase we also enhanced the e-commerce functionality by giving shoppers more opportunity to purchase products throughout the site.
